An amazing day seemingly doing nothing related to photmat, spending the day with the vocal ensemble The Orlando Consort as they recorded their latest CD of incredible medieval music by Guillaume de Machaut, who was, in a way, France’s equivalent of Chaucer. How was this artisitic endeavour relevant? The tremendous professionalism of the singers, the recording engineer and the producer as they strove for perfection was a great reminder of what it takes to do your best. The recording took place at St John’s in Loughton. The picture shows the recording engineer and producer’s bunker.
