Workshop (SCOM2018)

Kishan Menghrajani and Bill Barnes at SCOM18. Kishan presented some of his work on vibrational coupling.Bill was one of the founding organizers of the SCOM workshop series, and this workshop in Eindhoven was a major meeting for discussion on the topics covered by photmat. SCOM stands for Strong Coupling in Organic Materials, details of the workshop are given in the SCOM18 program. The first meeting (SCOM16) was held in San Sebastian in 2016 (a short history is here, and here is the program), the next (SCOM20) will be hosted in Gothenburg. The rise in momentum of this topic (80- participants in 2016, 120+ particpants this year, is an indication of the importance of this new area, and highlights the topicality of the photmat project.
